Duties

Brief Description of Duties:   This position is located in the Department of General Services (DGS) Facilities Management Division (FMD). The primary functions of this position are to manage and oversee staff performing boiler plant operations for the DGS portfolio of facilities; develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP), and ensure the provision of effective buildings and ground maintenance operations.

The incumbent will serve as the Supervisor of the Operations Unit and as an expert advisor to the Division's leadership on all aspects associated with the mission and responsibilities of the unit; also as the technical expert/advisor to other managers and officers in the agency regarding the unit.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:   Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, at least one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

Basic Requirements:   A valid driver's license is required.
