Project Overview

The new Ballou Senior High School facility welcomed students back from their winter break in January 2015 with 37 new classrooms as well as science labs, auto mechanic training and cosmetology training center, a culinary arts kitchen, a greenhouse, performing and visual arts spaces, a swimming pool and more. Phase 2 includes construction on the old site of the school a new football stadium and auxiliary field, is slated to be done in August 2015.

A Milestone is Reached!

Ballou High School's 'Topping Out' Celebration July 14, 2014

The DGS modernization team were on hand to view the topping out of the building’s steel frame, which signifies that the structural components of the building are complete and marks the fact that the construction team is now less than six months away from substantial completion of Phase 1 of the modernization project.
