Over the past four years, Rob has had the opportunity of managing resource use for the Department of General Services, as the Resource Allocation Officer. He has found the challenges related to the position to be very similar to making bids in Whist, or even Spades (when rookies are involved), as one has to assess one’s hand, and sometimes make something out of nothing! When he is not whipping up on opponents in the various card games that he plays in his spare time, he can be found running or biking the trails in DC, MD, and Virginia, most frequently the area around the National Mall.
In addition to being physically active, Rob is also active in the community, having served on the Executive Board for the Urban League Young Professionals, No. VA chapter. Despite no longer a member of that E-Board, he occasionally donates his time to assist similar organizations. Rob is originally from the Chicago area, is a two time graduate of Howard University, loves attending the HU Homecoming, but most importantly loves the District of Columbia.
