Mr. Craig Samtmann brings to the position a wealth of knowledge and an extensive career in global security and public safety. Mr. Samtmann is board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional. Prior to on-boarding with PSD, he was the Director of Global Security for Tyco Security and Fire Protection Corp. In his role, he led and managed areas such as physical security, critical infrastructure protection, and risk assessments. As a Federal Physical Security Consultant with Department of Homeland Security, he was instrumental in saving the U.S. government $6.5M in security countermeasures during construction of a new Social Security Administration headquarters in Baltimore, MD. During his time spent as an FBI Supervisory Special Agent and National Program Manager, he was the leader in the investigations and crisis management for major security matters such as 9/11, Anthrax evidence, and Osama bin Laden embassy bombings. He is also a nationally certified firefighter, EMT, and Incident Safety Officer.

Mr. Samtmann received his Master’s Degree in Public Safety Management from St. Joseph’s University, where he also served as an Adjunct Professor. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from LaSalle University and holds two Associates Degrees in Fire, Science and Police Science from Montgomery County Community College.
