(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - In a heartfelt show of holiday spirit, the Joint Venture Partnership of AF/F&L/Sigal building Raymond Recreation Center provided holidays gifts today for about 25 students at Raymond Education Campus in Ward 4.
The Joint Venture Partners solicited donations from the subcontractors performing construction services on the site. Through the Secret Santa project, the team collected $2,500 to provide gifts for children, including coats, hats, toys, and gift cards for shoes. In addition to the Joint Venture partners, companies which also contributed include:
- Mahogany Interiors, Inc.
- W.L. Gary
- First Choice Masonry
- CCAP Consulting, LLC
- OJ Firestop Services
- Continental Construction
“With every construction contract F&L receives, we give back to the community in some way,” said Freddie Winston, President and CEO of F&L. “We know that Councilmember Muriel Bowser works hard for her community in Ward 4, and the Secret Santa project was one way for F&L to join that energy during the holidays.”
The holiday gifts were presented to Raymond Education Campus Principal Natalie Hubbard, School Psychologist Camille Robinson and the Raymond students Friday afternoon.
“The Joint Venture’s desire to put smiles on the faces of young people at Raymond Education Campus this holiday season is a wonderful example of Mayor Gray’s vision of “One City,” said Brian J. Hanlon, DGS Director.
