(WASHINGTON, DC) – The DC Department of General Services (DGS) is reflecting on a year of national and regional recognition for public buildings delivered across the District. Throughout 2025, DGS projects earned awards honoring excellence in construction, sustainability, design, engineering, and community impact.
Committee on Facilities Hearing - DGS Testimony 12.03.2025
The District requires uninterrupted, expert maintenance and support for the MPD North Office’s installed video surveillance systems to ensure mission critical safety, evidentiary integrity, and operational readiness. The MPD North Office relies on a multi‑component video surveillance environment for deterrence, incident response, and evidentiary capture. Routine PM and rapid response repair services are essential to:
(a) preserve evidentiary quality,
(b) reduce downtime risks at critical camera positions,
(c) maintain chain‑of‑custody and integrity of recorded footage, and
(d) ensure firmware/security updates keep pace with evolving threats.
The Contractor’s program specifically addresses these needs through structured PM visits, defined SLAs, and trained technicians familiar with the installed equipment mix and documentation requirements.
