The District of Columbia’s Department of General Services (“DGS”) is seeking offers for existing buildings or land for new construction that could serve as a shelter for homeless residents who need temporary assistance to obtain or retain permanent housing and specifically during hypothermia season. The Department of Human Services is the agency identified to initially occupy the proposed space.
