(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m., officials from the DC Department of General Services (DGS), DC Fire and EMS (FEMS), and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will join community members to celebrate the installation of a new outdoor Automated External Defibrillator (AED) SaveStation Tower at Banneker Recreation Center.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the DC Department of General Services (DGS), DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (FEMS), and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) joined community members and partners to unveil a state-of-the-art SaveStation AED cabinet and life saving tower at Banneker Recreation Center.
Event Description: With the passage of the Public Facilities Environmental Safety Amendment Act of 2020, DGS has expanded its frequency and scope of testing for environmental risks. This is the sixteenth meeting in a series of monthly meetings to discuss actionable environmental safety testing results and remediation activity at District public buildings. This meeting will provide an overview of our testing process and details about activities at specific locations. You can join the meeting by registering and using the link provided.
