Fort Dupont Ice Arena Project

Fort Dupont Ice Arena building

Project Overview

The new Fort Dupont Ice Arena will be a two sheet facility that is constructed on the existing site. It is contemplated that the new facility will be constructed in two phases, such that at all times one sheet of ice is available for use. DGS anticipates that the new Ice Arena will be constructed on the site of the existing parking lot, and that the existing facility will eventually be demolished after one of the two new sheets is operational in order to provide space for the expanded facility and to make space for a new parking lot. The new facility will include a second sheet of ice, larger locker rooms, increased storage space, improved spectator viewing areas, a new kitchen and commercial food space, community rooms and offices.
