Mayor Awards $3 Million in Great Streets Retail Business Grants, Including the Largest Cohort of Ward 7 Grantees

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser, Administration officials, local business owners, and community members celebrated the grand opening of the new Department of General Services (DGS) headquarters located in Ward 7 at 3924 Minnesota Avenue NE. During the event, Mayor Bowser also announced the awardees of $3 million in funding from the Greet Streets Retail Small Business grant program.

Event Description: With the passage of the Public Facilities Environmental Safety Amendment Act of 2020, DGS has expanded its frequency and scope of testing for environmental risks. This is the seventeenth meeting in a series of monthly meetings to discuss actionable environmental safety testing results and remediation activity at District public buildings.
