DC Department of General Services Celebrates a Year of National Recognition for Award-Winning Public Projects

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The DC Department of General Services (DGS) is reflecting on a year of national and regional recognition for public buildings delivered across the District. Throughout 2025, DGS projects earned awards honoring excellence in construction, sustainability, design, engineering, and community impact.

Topic: In summary, the first topic of this hearing will be the maintenance of DPR’s indoor and outdoor portfolio. Second, this hearing will examine issues related to the topic of the construction of recreational facilities. Relatedly, this hearing will consider B26-0161, the Planning Actively for Recreational upKeep so Neighborhood Resources Elevate Communities (PARKSNREC) Amendment Act of 2025. This hearing’s final topic will be environmentalism. As related to construction, the hearing will focus on the District’s green building laws, particularly the Greener Government Buildings Act.
