The Department of General Services submits this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit design­ build proposals from offerors or bidders interested in contracting to serve as the design-builder for the new Benjamin Banneker High School, which will be located at the current site of Shaw Junior High School at the comer of Rhode Island Avenue and 9th Street NW Washington, DC 20001. The purpose of this RFP is to determine which Offeror will be awarded the Design-Build contract for the Project. The existing Banneker High School is located at 800 Euclid Street, NW, and was constructed in 1939. The Department's desire is to construct a new building on the site of the existing Shaw Junior High School in order to create a 21st century learning environment for up to 800 students.
