The Department of General Services (DGS) is responsible for planning and managing the District’s real estate to achieve its highest and best use. The Agency engages in activities such as lease administration; allocation of owned and leased properties to District agencies; property acquisition and disposition; fixed cost forecasting for District facilities and rent collection from entities leasing District-owned property.
DGS provides a number of resources to locate and identify government-owned space.
