Mayor Bowser, DGS, and DCPS will kick-off the first day of SY26-27/Back to School Week with a ribbon cutting at John R. Thompson Jr. High School (previously known as MacArthur High School), marking the city’s first new traditional neighborhood high school built in more than 50 years.
