Project Description:
This project supports the design and development of a new Upshur Recreation Center facility. This modernized and expanded facility will include an indoor half-court, a fitness gym, a multipurpose room, new restrooms and locker rooms to support the pool. The park will receive new 2-5 and 5-12 year old playgrounds and a new outdoor basketball court, new picnic areas and pathways and stormwater systems and landscaping. The pool will also receive upgrades including ADA access and a zero-entry ramp into the pool and a new splash pad. Currently the Upshur Recreation Center and Pool is a highly used facility. Modernizing this facility will expand capacity and recreational offerings to better meet the needs of the community.
