Barry Farms Aquatic Center HVAC Upgrades Project Update:
Project Description: HVAC and boiler replacement at the Barry Farms Recreation Center.
We want to share an update on upcoming facility improvements at the Barry Farms Aquatic Center.
Work to replace the building’s boiler, which heats the pool, is expected to begin at the end of May. The new boiler will be installed in a newly constructed enclosure on site, rather than in its previous location.
In addition, the project to replace the PoolPak/HVAC system is scheduled to begin in early August once equipment arrives. This phase of work is expected to continue through September. The pool will be closed until all work is completed.
While repairs continue at Barry Farm, residents are invited to use the alternative indoor pools in Ward 8 at Ferebee-Hope Aquatic Center and Ballou Aquatic Center. We will continue to share updates as the project moves forward.
