The DC Department of General Services (DGS) provides recycling and waste equipment and supplies to DC Public Schools to enable all public schools to recycle right.
Recycling and waste equipment is offered to DC Public Schools on an as-needed basis. Equipment includes all fixed-assets that are intended to last a long time. To submit an order request for recycling equipment, use your school’s facility account to submit a work order through Salesforce with main problem type set as ‘Trash & Recycle’ and sub-problem type set as ‘Supplies Request’.To see what equipment is available for order, see the DCPS Recycles! Supplies are items that get used up during the year, and need to be regularly replaced, including posters, labels, and liners.
Order new posters and labels, or download and print them yourself.
DGS provides compostable liners to schools participating in the organics diversion program. Schools are responsible for purchasing their own liners for trash and recycling. Review the Guidelines on Liner Use to make sure you are using the correct bags and liners.
