Project Description:

The Rita Bright Family & Youth Center is a former Boys and Girls Club located at 14th and Chapin St NW. It is managed by Latin American Youth Center and features multipurpose rooms, classrooms, a kitchen, a fitness room, and a gymnasium. The center offers afterschool and summer programming to youth in the area including leadership classes and homework help. There are also a number of physical activities that take place including boxing, dance, strength and conditioning, basketball, and taekwondo. The facility is in need of accessibility improvements and repairs and upgrades to its amenities.
