On Friday, May 26, at 4 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will kick off the 2017 summer outdoor pool season at Banneker Recreation Center. 93.9 WKYS will broadcast live.

Outdoor aquatic facilities will officially open on Saturday, May 27. The Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) aquatic inventory includes 18 outdoor pools, 11 indoor pools, 23 spray parks and two children's pools. DPR outdoor pools will operate from 12 pm. to 6 pm. from Saturday, May 27, through Memorial Day Monday, May 29. For more information on the summer outdoor pools schedule, visit: summer.dc.gov.
