The Department of General Services ('Department" or "DGS ') is issuing this Request for Proposals ("RFP") to engage a design-builder to renovate Macfarland Middle School ("Macfarland") localed at 4400 Iowa Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 2001 1. Macfarland is not currently uti lized as a middle school. Instead, the facility has served and continues to serve as a swing site to house other school populations as their facilities undergo renovation. The District of Columbia Public Schools ("DCPS") plans to re-open Macfarland as a new middle school in Ward 4 in August 20 18 for the 20 18/20 19 school year.
