The District of Columbia Department of General Services ("Department" or "DGS"), Contracts and Procurement Division, is issuing an Invitation for Bid ("IFB") to engage a Contractor to provide construction services at East Potomac Pool and Pool House, a Department of Parks and Recreation ("DPR") facility, located within East Potomac Park, 972 Ohio Drive, SW, Washington, DC 20024. The East Potomac Pool is an Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool that was initially constructed in the 1930s and replaced with the current aluminum pool shell in approximately 1970. The existing pool house was also constructed at the same time. The Department has commissioned a set of design drawings that have been submitted for permitting, and the scope o f services generally includes constructing the work show in the drawings and specifications no later than May 4, 2018 (the "Project").
