The District of Columbia Department of General Services is issuing this Request for Proposals to engage a design firm to serve as the architect/engineer for the modernization and expansion of Murch Elementary School. Murch Elementary School is located at 4810 36th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20008. The existing building was designed in 1929 and was constructed shortly thereafter; the building is considered historically significant by the DC Historical Preservation Review Board. The Department anticipates beginning construction immediately after the 2015/2016 school year and completing the Project within 18 to 24 months, depending on the selected design and phasing strategy.
