Project Description
The consolidation of the Department of Homeland Security at the Saint Elizabeth’s Campus and the District’s plan to redevelop the East Campus are both an opportunity to extend that proud legacy and a once-in-a-generation chance for the District of Columbia and the federal government to create well-planned, multiuse, mixed-income, walkable, livable community.
In partnership with the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), the Department of General Services’ role in Saint Elizabeth’s Campus redevelopment plan is to design and construct a new shelter facility to replace the existing 801 East Men’s Shelter, utility lines and more.
