DGS deploys a contractor who employs Industrial Hygienists (IH) that hold a Drinking Water Sampler Certificate to perform the lead testing of each water fountain at each parks and recreation building in the DC Park & Recreation System annually. This is not required by the EPA and is a self-imposed standard policy that DGS, cooperating with DOEE and DPR.
