Please join the DGS team in congratulating Sandy Bellamy, Management Analyst with the Capital Construction Division at 1250 U Street, for going above and beyond and earning the designation of Employee of the Month for April 2015!

Sandy single-handedly hosted the public art competitions for the River Terrace, Hearst, Roosevelt and Mann school projects, welcoming artists from across the nation to compete to have their artwork displayed in our District of Columbia Public Schools.

Sandy works with a high degree of energy, commitment and professionalism as she interacts with the local and national art community, schools administrators, students, colleagues, social media, community stakeholders and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities to incorporate public arts in District-owned projects.

Sandy brings a strong commitment to the core DGS principles. Our agency seeks to provide extraordinary customer service to the residents, employees and visitors of the District, while supporting our employees’ innovative, creative, and proactive approaches towards completion of their regular responsibilities. Sandy’s hard work and dedication demonstrates her willingness to enthusiastically go the extra mile for the people who depend on her. She is another wonderful example of the exceptionally high quality professional staff we have within DGS.
