Did You Know? You Can Travel For DGS Business

Did you know that the Department of General Services (DGS) offers several ways to travel for agency business in the District? Local business travel can be conducted through the “DC Fleet Share” program, and with the use of a new pilot program using SMARTRIP Cards.

If you are interested in joining the Fleet Share program, here’s How to Register

1.       Send an e-mail to Fleet Share Administrator, Faith Scott-Dunson, stating that you would like to become a Fleet Share member and include the following information:

·         Name

·         Email Address

·         Phone Number

·         Supervisors Name

2.       Pick up your card

3.       Receive an email from Fast Fleet with activation instructions

4.       Log onto the Fleet Share Website

a.       Navigate through orientation

b.      Pass the quiz

5.       Make your reservations

6.       Start driving

 

Previously, DGS staff has used Fare Cards which had a maximum value of $10. DGS is now piloting SMARTRIP Cards for both “Individual” and “Shared” use.

To receive a “Shared” SMARTRIP Card:

1.       Sign in and out of the program through the 8th Floor Receptionist at the Reeves Center.

2.       Return unused SMARTRIP Card – regardless of the value remaining on the card.

 

To receive an “Individual” SMARTRIP Card:
