(Washington D.C.) - The Department of General Services (DGS) is reaching out to women contractors and subcontractors in the District of Columbia to help them learn more about contracting opportunities with DGS. More than 100 business leaders have confirmed their participation in the networking and outreach event tomorrow, "Exploring Contracting Opportunities for Women-Owned Businesses," at DGS Headquarters.
The outreach initiative will be held at the Reeves Center Community Room, 2000 14th Street, NW from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Lisa Anders, Vice President of Business Development with McKissack & McKissack, will be the keynote speaker.
Ms. Anders and DGS women in leadership positions will share their insight and experiences in construction and other service industries. Event participants will also have the chance to network with DGS leadership and key staff and learn about upcoming contracting opportunities.
