Junior Achievement Launchpad of Greater Washington Project

Project Description:

The concept of the project is to convert a 13,200 GSF Historic building from general office use to a flexible space for use by the Junior Achievement of Greater Washington. The proposed design of the rehabilitated building involves expansion of the existing building to accommodate a new two-level Auditorium with a roof terrace above, a new elevator and stair, and a new Gazebo. Interior work includes lab-like office spaces/classrooms in all levels to enhance the students' learning experience. New site work at the rear includes vehicular student drop-off zone.

Project Details:

The objective of the project is to rehabilitate this federally owned and DC Government administratively managed historically listed building, to serve as a simulated center to accommodate the District's first "Finance Park" for middle-school aged children. The rehabilitation of the building is to be managed by the DC Department of General Services (DGS).
