DGS DCPS HVAC Public Dashboard

The Department of General Services (DGS) is committed to providing safe, high-quality services, including the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units within District government-owned properties.  Regular maintenance of HVAC systems helps provide and support healthy and safe environments for all users of these facilities.

DGS has created a new, public online dashboard that provides the status of HVAC system work orders at all 116 D.C. Public Schools (DCPS).  The DGS-DCPS HVAC Dashboard tracks performed service work needed on HVAC systems throughout the maintenance process.  The creation of this reporting tool meets an important milestone for the agency that provides agency accountability, provides parents and school communities with a new level of transparency, while providing information on anticipated timeframes on when repairs will be completed.

Data also includes open work order numbers broken down by school, descriptions of the repair need, and HVAC inspection dates.  The DGS-DCPS HVAC Dashboard is updated on a bi-weekly basis.  The Dashboard is an evolving tool that, in the future, will include live temperature readings for DCPS facilities as well as data on completed DCPS HVAC work orders.  DGS will continue to perfect the dashboard and will share progress with the District’s school communities.

  2. HVAC Assets (Most Recent Inspection)
  3. Work Order Trends
