The District of Columbia's engagement with Certified Business Enterprises is critical to increasing the current business opportunities for district based small business and to build capacity for future opportunities.

Starting in Fiscal Year 2017 (FY 17), DGS began to embrace technology as a means of delivering stronger alignment with Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) contractors performing as prime contractors and subcontractors on various District projects. As a result, the Agency intends to fully implement a robust online vendor information system to focus on vendor evaluations, payments, forecasting of future opportunities to increase participation in all ofDGS' solicitations. The use of this technology will further the Agency's mission by maintaining and updating vendor databases, user tracking and forecasting, manage compliance efforts, notifications and dashboards for business intelligence.

To that end, the system will consist of a public facing internet component and an internal facing intranet component. The public facing component allows vendors (CBEs) to submit information that will be used to track their interactions with the forecast portion of the online solicitation module. The internal facing component will consist of vendor module, forecast module, dashboard and login (site management component). The login page allows internal users to login to the system, reset password, perform a Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) operation on records and manage the system functionalities.
