The District of Columbia’s Department of General Services (“DGS”) is seeking offers for land sites and / or existing buildings that can provide a new location for an animal shelter. Responsive offers, among other things, should provide land sites for new development or sites with approximately 16,000 SF of existing improvements with parking and an area for an outdoor dog run. A strong preference will be given to sites that allow animal shelters and animal hospitals as a matter-of-right. DC Health is the agency identified to initially occupy the proposed space.
