(WASHINGTON, DC)-The Department of General Services (DGS) is pleased to announce the creation of a new online dashboard that provides the status on heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system work orders at all 116 DC Public Schools (DCPS). The creation of this online reporting tool meets an important milestone for the agency that allows public accountability, additional transparency on the types and level of maintenance work being performed, and helps to level-set expectations on when repair work will be completed. 

"Families, teachers, and staff want to maintain focus on developing young minds inside the District's public school buildings, said DGS Director Keith A. Anderson. "This new service will help them to do just that. If there is an HVAC system requiring maintenance at their school, this reporting system will provide the information and updates they need on a bi-weekly basis." 

The DGS-DCPS HVAC Dashboard provides a list of open work orders for DCPS HVAC units to include the status of current repair(s) and any assessments that are necessary to perform the required maintenance. Additionally, the dashboard provides the anticipate,d repair date and the most recent inspection dates of individual HVAC units at all DCPS facilities.
