DGS Small Business Symposium 2023: Build. Maintain. Sustain.

Monday, November 14, 2022

(WASHINGTON, DC)– On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, the Department of General Services (DGS) will host its premiere virtual outreach event ‘DGS Small Business Symposium 2023: Build. Maintain. Sustain.’ In its eleventh year, the symposium is an opportunity to inform the local certified business enterprise (CBE) community and general contractors about FY ’23 procurement availabilities offered by DGS. DGS is the construction and building maintenance agency for the District of Columbia, responsible for building and maintaining District-owned properties as well as providing these facilities with energy efficient technologies. Involvement from the local CBE community is an important element to the success of DGS projects and is a top priority for Mayor Muriel Bowser. Speakers will include DGS Director Keith A. Anderson and DGS executive leadership representing divisions including Capital Construction Services, Facilities Maintenance, Sustainability and Energy and Protective Services. This is an opportunity for participants to build new and grow existing business connections, learn more about DGS procurement availabilities for the year and how to apply for them. It is also an opportunity for DGS to gain knowledge on specific needs of the small business community.
