Elliott Kozuch is the Public Information Officer for the Department of General Services (DGS). In his role, he creates strategic communications plans and media outreach activities for the department, communicating essential information about the nature and impact of DGS’s work.

Elliott is a communications professional with more than 10 years of experience, spanning national, local, and District government, as well as national non-profit organizations. This experience included leading multi-organizational communications collaborations, standing up national communications campaigns, and leading crisis communication moments.

He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in journalism and mass communication and women and gender studies. He has a training credential from FEMA in Public Information and has served as organizational spokesperson in outlets like The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and more.

Elliott is a proud Ward 5 resident, clarinet player, and pet parent to his cat, named Pierogi.
