Wanda Jones provides guidance regarding financial resources and advice to agency senior management and colleagues on a wide variety of property management resource allocation policy and planning issues and problems. In this role, she gives sound guidance on the financial resources of the agency’s property management program and projects, provides oversight of project activities, and develops progress reports. Wanda assesses program and project statuses and recommends corrective action where necessary. She monitors, analyzes and evaluates legislative provisions for new programs affecting property management programs, establishes resource allocation priorities for capital and operating funds for property management programs and represents the agency during negotiations with external officials to effectuate ‘Memoranda of Agreements or Understanding’ involving property management programs. She ensures that key District and organizational goals, priorities, values, performance objectives and other criteria are interpreted and considered in making financial program decisions. Prior to joining the Department of General Services (DGS), Wanda served 10 years at the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in the Government Operations Cluster (GOC) as an Accountant and Financial Manager providing superior accounting and budget support to various complex District agencies including the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), and at DGS.
