The District of Columbia Department of General Services ("DGS", "District" or "Department"), on behalf of the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services ("DCFEMS"), is issuing this Request for Proposals ("RFP") to solicit the services of an architectural/engineering ("A/E") Firm to provide professional design services for a new DCFEMS Fleet Maintenance Facility in five phases: (i) Schematic Design; (ii) Design Development; (iii) Construction Documents and Project Specifications; (iv) Bid Phase; and (v) Construction Administration. Development of an FF&E Schedule for Maintenance and Lifts Bay and various cost estimates throughout the Project phases will also be required. The New DCFEMS Fleet Maintenance Facility will be located at the Blue Plains site at DC Village Lane SW, Washington D.C., adjacent to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s ("WMATA") Shepherd Parkway metrobus and D.C. Impound Lot (the "Project"). The DC Village Lane site is approximately 278,784 square feet (6.4 acres).
