As the implementation agency for all District owned and managed facilities, the Department of General Services (DGS) takes proactive steps to fortify our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and internal air filtration systems for the safety and well-being of District residents. DGS manages approximately 700 HVAC systems across District-owned and managed facilities, including schools, first responder sites, and government buildings.
