(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, in recognition of Earth Day, the DC Department of General Services (DGS) announced the District government’s first-ever Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC). DGS in partnership with its ESPC advisor NV5 awarded this contract to CMTA, an Energy Services Company (ESCO).
The Department of General Services (the “Department” or “DGS”) needs to engage the services of DCS-CS Electrical Services (the “Contractor” or “DCS-CS”) for OUC - Rhode Island Ave Radio Site - FA integration to the main building ARK fire control system, located at 1700 Rhode Island Avenue NE, Washington DC, 20018.
Event Description: With the passage of the Public Facilities Environmental Safety Amendment Act of 2020, DGS has expanded its frequency and scope of testing for environmental risks. This is the fifteenth meeting in a series of monthly meetings to discuss actionable environmental safety testing results and remediation activity at District public buildings. This meeting will provide an overview of our testing process and details about activities at specific locations. You can join the meeting by registering and using the link provided. Topic: Scope – Addition onto the current Barnard ES that will contain 12 classrooms, a Specials Lab and
support spaces for the school. This addition will serve as the replacement to the existing trailer complex
on site. The scope includes a new playfield, a green roof and an intense SWM package with bioretention
ponds and an overall sustainable site.
