(WASHINGTON, DC) – Brookland Middle School, located at 1150 Michigan Avenue, N.E. achieved LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council ®. LEED is the premier benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings.The Department of General Services prides itself on high-quality, sustainable construction. Brookland Middle School was awarded 85 out of a possible 109 points.
